20 illegal immigrants detained in Albanian southern border region

Albanian border police informed on Monday that they detained 20 foreigners, who were seeking to enter the Albanian territory illegally, in the southern region of Gjirokastra.

According to police statement, the detainees were illegal immigrants, of which 18 were from Morocco and two Palestinians. The group of illegal immigrants had crossed the green border and were detained in the area of Nepravishta.

After being detained the 20 illegal immigrants were sent to the border police station Gjirokastra, south of Albania for questioning.

Border police sources declared that the group aimed to enter first the territory of Montenegro and then seek to reach Germany. Enditem
