Pato in talks with Tianjin Songjiang

Xinhua, December 31, 2015 Adjust font size:

Alexandre Pato is considering a move to Chinese second division club Tianjin Songjiang, the striker's agent said on Wednesday.

Brazilian Serie A club Corinthians have made public their desire to sell the 26-year-old as he enters the final year of his contract.

"They have spoken to us and there is interest," Pato's agent Gilmar Veloz told the Uol news portal. "We are looking at it, but there is nothing official yet. Corinthians need to accept any offer made."

Coached by former Brazil and Real Madrid manager Vanderlei Luxemburgo, Tianjin Songjiang have already signed former Brazil internationals Luis Fabiano and Jadson in the past month.

Pato, who joined Corinthians from AC Milan for 15 million euros in January 2013, this month completed a two-year loan spell at Sao Paulo.

He appeared to overcome a series of injury problems with 26 goals across all competitions in 2015.

Liverpool, Chelsea and West Ham United are also said to have shown interest in signing the forward. Endit
