Brazilian midfielder Bernardo joins Ulsan Hyundai

Brazilian attacking midfielder Bernardo has signed with Ulsan Hyundai, the South Korean club said on Wednesday.

The 25-year-old, who represented Brazil at youth level, joined Asian outfit for an undisclosed fee from Vasco da Gama.

"(We) have recruited the Brazilian Bernardo," said a statement on the club's official website. "(The club) is scrambling to rebuild the first team with promising young players ahead of the 2016 season."

Ulsan Hyundai finished seventh out of 12 teams in South Korea's top flight in 2015.

Bernardo shot to prominence with 18 goals in his debut season for Vasco da Gama in 2011. But he has since been beset by inconsistent form and injuries.

He spent 2015 on loan at Brazilian Serie B club Ceara, where he failed to score in 10 matches. Endit
