Quake felt in Afghan capital

An earthquake was felt in Afghan capital of Kabul late on Friday, with no reports of casualties or damages as of early hours of Saturday.

The tremors were also felt in of northern and eastern parts of the country, causing panic among the people.

An earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale jolted 40km WSW of Ashkasham, Afghanistan at 19: 14:47 GMT on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 203.52 km, was initially determined to be at 36.5148 degrees north latitude and 71.1354 degrees east longitude. Endit
