Tremors were felt early Saturday morning in the Indian capital as an earthquake hit the central Asia region near Afghanistan.

The tremors were also felt in other parts of northern India as well as the Kashmiri region, after the 6.5 magnitude quake hit the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border area shortly before mid-night here, said local media.

There has been no report of casualty or damage so far in India. Endit
