Death sentence for driver who killed 3 at Beijing stadium

Xinhua, December 24, 2015 Adjust font size:

A Beijing court on Thursday sentenced a man to death for endangering public security and homicide, after he intentionally rammed his car into pedestrians, killing three and injuring nine.

The Beijing Third Intermediate People's Court also deprived Jin Fusheng of his political rights for life.

On Dec. 26 last year, Jin drove a Buick car into a pedestrian, leaving him slightly injured. He then rammed the car into a crowd of people at the Beijing Workers' Stadium, leaving three dead, eight injured and three cars damaged, according to the court.

Jin, a 61-year-old Beijing native, felt dissatisfied after he lost a lawsuit before committing the random act of aggression. He was officially arrested in January. Endi
