Singapore stocks close 0.37 pct higher

Singapore stocks finished higher on Wednesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 10.68 points, or 0.37 percent, to close at 2,863.65.

A total of 1.26 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 709.1 million Singapore dollars (504.1 million U.S. dollars).

Gainers outnumbered decliners 250 to 153, while 519 others finished unchanged.

The STI index gained 7.42 points, or 0.26 percent, to close at 2,852.97 on Tuesday. Endit
