The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) confirmed Tuesday that the national team will play two international friendly games against Gabon and Cameroon.

Edgar Watson, the Uganda FA chief Executive Officer said, "We have agreed that the Cranes will face Gabon on January 10th, while they take on Cameroon three days later in the town of Jinja."

Head coach Milutin 'Micho' Sredojevic, who said the Uganda Cranes team will enter camp on January 4th, added that these two friendly games are very timely because it will help the technical bench assess several issues before the CHAN tournament.

The Uganda Cranes have been on recess since winning the regional Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia early this month.

The 2016 CHAN event will take place January 16 to February 7th in Kigali, Butare, Gisenyi.
