Santos seek permanent deal for Al-Nassr's Gabriel

Xinhua, December 23, 2015 Adjust font size:

Brazil's Santos are in talks with Saudi Arabia's Al-Nassr to sign midfielder Marquinhos Gabriel on a permanent contract, according to local media reports.

The 25-year-old impressed during a season-long loan at Santos last year with 26 first-team appearances and three goals.

According to the Lancenet news portal, Al Nassr have asked for four million US dollars in cash for the deal to go ahead.

Santos face competition for Gabriel's signature from a host of other Brazilian clubs, the report added.

The eight-time Brazilian Serie A winners finished the 2015 league season in seventh place, missing out on a berth in next year's Copa Libertadores, South America's top club competition. Endit
