Italy World Cup winner Camoranesi to coach Argentina's Tigre

Italy World Cup winner Mauro Camoranesi has agreed to coach Argentina's Tigre, according to a statement on the club's official website on Monday.

The Argentina-born 39-year-old will take charge of the Buenos Aires outfit until July 2017. It will be his second coaching stint after a spell at the helm of Mexico's Coras de Tepic earlier this year.

"Mauro Camoranesi is the new Coach of Tigre," Tigre said. "In the coming hours he will sign a contract which will bind him to the club for eighteen months."

As a player, Camoranesi is best remembered for his eight seasons at Juventus, were he was a member of the 2002-03 Scudetto-winning team.

He was capped 55 times for Italy, helping the Azzurri' to glory at the 2006 World Cup in Germany. Endit
