Sao Paulo target Dynamo Kiev striker

Xinhua, December 22, 2015 Adjust font size:

Sao Paulo are preparing an offer to sign Dynamo Kiev striker Marco Ruben, the club's newly appointed coach Edgardo Bauza said on Monday.

Ruben, 29, has just completed a successful loan spell with Rosario Central, where he was the top scorer in Argentina's top flight with 21 goals.

In an interview with Radio Mitre, Bauza said Ruben was one of five players targeted by the Brazilian club for the new season, which begins next month.

Also among them is former Uruguay captain Diego Lugano, who helped Sao Paulo win the 2005 FIFA Club World Cup by defeating Liverpool in the final.

Other targets are right-back Julio Buffarini, central defender Matias Caruzzo and midfielder Nestor Ortigoza. Endit
