British FTSE 100 down 0.82 pct on Friday

The FTSE 100 Index, Britain's benchmark stock market gauge, decreased by 0.82 percent, or 50.12 points, to 6,052.42 points on Friday.

The share price of Anglo American climbed 5.52 percent, topping the gainers of the blue chips. Smith & Nephew, Carnival, BHP Billiton and Randgold Resources Ltd. increased by 4.64 percent, 2.64 percent, 2.46 percent and 1.36 percent respectively.

BT Group led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 2.63 percent, followed by Associated British Foods (2.26 percent), Capita (2.23 percent), Dixons Carphone (2.13 percent) and BG Group (2.03 percent). Endit
