Tokyo shares end lower in morning trade

Tokyo shares ended the morning session slightly lower on Friday amid concerns of overheat after recent surges and poor performances in the overnight U.S. market.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average edged down 46.50 points, or 0.24 percent, from Thursday to 19,307.06.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was down 3.96 points, or 0.25 percent, to 1,560.75. Enditem
