Lazio to take on Juventus in Italian Cup quarters

Lazio edged out Udinese 2-1 on Thursday to book a quarter-final fight against defending champions Juventus in the Italian Cup.

It was a morale-boosting win for Lazio, who had dropped to 12th in Serie A with 16 points behind leaders Inter Milan.

Panagiotis Kone opened for Udinese at the 67th minute when he volleyed the ball into a far corner.

Alessandro Matri hit an equalizer three minutes later and Danilo Cataldi headed home the winner at the 79th minute.

AC Milan thumped Sampdoria 2-0 with second-half goals from M'Baye Niang and Carlos Bacca.

Juventus routed city rivals Torino 4-0 and Napoli defeated struggling Verona 3-0 on Wednesday. Endi
