Xinhua, December 15, 2015 Adjust font size:

An automobile trade mission from Catalonia in northeastern Spain plans to travel to China next year in search of business opportunities, according to the CIAC, the organizer of the mission.

The trade mission is scheduled to meet representatives from 22 Chinese automobile manufacturers and providers during their trip from April 9 to 16 next year, a CIAC spokesperson said.

"Although competition is intense in China, there are still important business opportunities for passenger vehicles, the development of alternative car fuels and car components," said Vicenc Aguilera, President of the CIAC, an association of the automobile companies in Catalonia. Aguilera will lead the mission to China.

Representatives from China-based automobile companies including BAIC group, Beijing Benz Automotive Co.Ltd, Dongfeng Group, Valeo, Chery and Infun will be meeting the Spanish mission, according to the CIAC.

The CIAC, which is made up by 139 companies from the automobile sector, has organized a meeting by the end of December for those firms interested of being part of the trade mission. Endit
