Chinese badminton players Chai Biao/Hong Wei beat Mathias Boe/Carsten Mogensen from Denmark in the semifinal of the men's Dubai World Superseries Finals series 2015 here on Saturday.

In the breathtaking three-set match, Chai/Hong won 17-21, 21-19, 24-22 with one hour and 19 minutes.

"We also feel that we were eventually tactically the better team," said Hong.

Chai/Hong will encounter on Sunday Mohamed Ahsan/Hendra Setiawan from Indonesia who defeated South-Korea's Lee Yong Dae/Yoo Yeon Seong, 21-17 22-24 21-15.

The Indonesians benefitted from tailwind from hundreds of audible Indonesian fans who gathered on the tribune of Dubai's Hamdan Sports Complex.

On their chances to achieve victory in Sunday, the 1.92-meter-tall Hong answered diplomatically, "Dubai is a lucky place to be and we fell lucky."
