China's paddlers Ma Long and Liu Shiwen named ITTF male and female star of the year

The Chinese table tennis team won four awards out of eight at the ITTF Star Awards Evening held in Lisbon, Portugal, on Wednesday.

   World No. 1 Liu Shiwen and Ma Long were named the Female and Male Table Tennis Star of the Year respectively.

   "It is a great honor to receive this award; my thanks to the ITTF and everyone who has supported me," said Liu.

   The Star Coach was Liu Guoliang, head coach of the Chinese team, while the Star Point was Ma Long versus Fang Bo and the final of the 2015 World Championships in Suzhou.

   Japanese player Mima Ito, only 15, was named Breakthrough Star of the year, while Kosovo's mixed doubles players Linor Citaku and Vlona Maloku won the Fair Play Award.  Endi
