Japan's wholesale prices drop for 8th straight month in November

Japan's wholesale price declined in November for the eighth successive month, with prices for both exports and imports logging losses, the Bank of Japan said on Thursday.

According to the central bank's figures, wholesale prices fell 3.6 percent from a year earlier in the recording month, with the index of corporate goods prices standing at 101.4 against the 2010 base of 100.

Export prices declined 5.3 percent and those of imports dropped 17.4 percent, the bank said in its preliminary report. Endit
