At least 20 people were killed and 120 others injured in the clashes between rival security forces in central Somalia city of Galkayo, a UN agency said on Tuesday.
A statement from the UN Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said more than 90,000 people were also displaced in the past two weeks in the battle between security forces in Galmudug and Puntland administrations. (Somalia-Clashes)

BERLIN -- The German cabinet approved on Wednesday a draft bill designed to simplify the registration and identification of refugees coming to Germany.
According to the bill, refugees will receive a uniform identity card in the future as they enter Germany. The card issued by German authorities contains relevant data of every asylum seeker, including his/her health information, data on accompanying minor children and adolescents as well as education, vocational training and other qualifications. KANDAHAR, Afghanistan -- At least 37 civilians have been killed and 18 others wounded in a 20-hour siege by Taliban militants against a residential complex near the airport in the southern Afghan city of Kandahar, sources said on Wednesday.

SEOUL -- South Korea and China agreed to implement the bilateral free trade agreement (FTA) on Dec. 20, Seoul's foreign ministry said Wednesday.
The two nations continued negotiations to rapidly implement the FTA after Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and South Korean President Park Geun-hye shared views of the implementation within this year on Oct. 31 when the two leaders met in Seoul on the sidelines of the trilateral summit meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. BAGHDAD -- At least 11 people were killed and some 20 others wounded on Wednesday in a suicide bomb attack at a Shiite mosque in the eastern part of the Iraqi capital, a police source said.
A suicide bomber detonated an explosive vest around noon at the entrance of Ahlu al-Baiyt mosque, in Baghdad's al-Obeidi district, the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity. (Iraq-Suicide Bombing) Endi
