Manchester City's ambassador and former player Sun Jihai has rejoined Guizhou Renhe and will help the club fight for a Super League berth, the second-flight league side announced on Tuesday.

The 38-year-old Sun, appointed as Manchester City's ambassador in September 2015 and inducted into the English Football Hall of Fame in October, will "continue to write his history as a legend", Guizhou said on its website.

Sun joined Super League club Chongqing Lifan after he parted ways with Guizhou in December 2014.

Sun, whose overseas clubs also included Crystal Palace and Sheffield United, had led Guizhou to FA Cup and Super Cup titles. Endi
