Urgent: U.S. dollar rises on rate-hike expectation

The U.S. dollar increased against other major currencies on Monday on broad expectations that the Federal Reserve would raise interest rates next week.

In late New York trading, the euro fell to 1.0846 dollars from 1.0869 dollars in the previous session, while the dollar bought 123.28 Japanese yen, higher than 123.18 yen of the previous session. Endit
