Ford says auto sales rising rapidly with ventures in China

Leading U.S. automaker Ford said Monday that auto sales with its Chinese ventures were rising 9 percent last month year on year.

The Ford invested auto-making ventures in China sold more than 106,283 vehicles in China in November, up 9 percent compared to that of 2014 and bringing the year-to-date total sales to more than 990,356, according to a document posted at the automaker's website.

"We are pleased that more and more customers are relying on Ford to provide them with vehicles they both want and value," said John Lawler, chairman and CEO of Ford Motor China, in the statement. "We remain committed to offering a full range of high-quality, safe, smart and fuel-efficient vehicles in China."

Ford has so far set up 10 auto-making factories across China since it first entered China in 1995, employing more than 20,000 workers and introducing 15 auto models to China. Ford Motor China, which is based in Shanghai, serves as the headquarters for Ford's business operation in Asia and the Pacific. Endit
