British FTSE 100 drops 0.24 pct on Monday

The FTSE 100 Index, Britain's benchmark stock market gauge, decreased by 0.24 percent, or 14.77 points, to 6,223.52 points on Monday.

The share price of Rolls-Royce Holdings increased by 2.69 percent, topping the gainers of the blue chips. WPP, Unilever, Associated British Foods, and easyJet increased by 2.20 percent, 2.11 percent, 1.87 percent and 1.79 percent respectively.

Royal Dutch Shell 'B' led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 4.66 percent, followed by Royal Dutch Shell 'A' (4.48 percent), BG Group (4.09 percent), BP (3.63 percent) and Tesco (3.44 percent). Endit
