Singapore stocks close 0.76 pct higher

Singapore stocks finished higher on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 21.87 points, or 0.76 percent, to close at 2,900.92.

A total of 892.6 million shares changed hands with turnover of 758.9 million Singapore dollars (540.7 million U.S. dollars).

Gainers outnumbered decliners 200 to 199, while 534 others finished unchanged.

The STI index lost 4.84 points, or 0.17 percent, to close at 2,879.05 on Dec. 4. Enditem
