Sanfrecce Hiroshima qualify for FIFA Club World Cup

Xinhua, December 5, 2015 Adjust font size:

Sanfrecce Hiroshima were crowned champions of Japan on Saturday to reach the FIFA Club World Cup for the second time.

Sanfrecce had a 1-1 draw with Gamba Osaka FC in the second leg of the J.League final, securing a 4-3 aggregate victory to claim their third J.League title in four years.

As Japan is the host for the 2015 Club World Cup, the champions of their national league were awarded one ticket for the tournament although they hadn't won the intercontinental Champions League according to the rules.

The Japanese club will face Auckland City FC in the first round on December 10. Endi
