9th Osaka Motor Show kicks off featuring environment friendly, concept vehicles

Xinhua, December 4, 2015 Adjust font size:

The 9th Osaka Motor Show, one of the biggest motor events in Western Japan, opened Friday at Index Osaka, a major exhibition hall here.

With its theme of "Meet the Future," the four-day event attracts 11 Japanese brands and 26 foreign brands, exhibiting about 280 vehicles featuring the latest technology and fashion.

Major Japanese and world car manufacturers took the opportunity to present their newest models. Brands such as DS, McLaren from Europe, and Indian, Polaris from North America, were exhibited here for the first time.

Eco-friendly cars were particularly eye-catching at the show. The Osaka Motor Show Executive Committee, the organizer, has set up a special zone to exhibit eco-friendly cars, such as the latest type of fuel cell vehicles (FCV).

Meanwhile, concept cars such as pilotless automobiles also attracted much attention, with many visitors watching closely and taking photos.

The organizer expects 320,000 visitors to see the show during the event. Endit
