At least 12 people were killed on Friday in an attack by unknown militants on a night club in the Egyptian capital of Cairo, state media reported.

Masked people on a motor bike opened fire randomly and threw Molotov cocktail on a night club in Agoza district southern Cairo, according to official news agency MENA.

The place was set ablaze. At least five people were wounded, MENA added.

All the victims were employees at the night club.

The civil service authority has managed to put off the fire.

The security forces have been deployed to comb the crime scene for searching for perpetrators. Endit
