Fiorentina make approach for Brazil under-20 starlet

Xinhua, December 4, 2015 Adjust font size:

Brazilian under-20 starlet Marlon has held talks with Fiorentina about a possible move to Italy's Serie A, the player's agent said on Thursday.

Agent Frederico Morales said Marlon had also attracted the interest of Barcelona, who have first bidding rights for the centre-back.

"Enquiries always happen. It is a normal thing to occur when the market opens," Morales was quoted as saying by Brazilian portal Sambafoot.

"In the middle of the year also, it was same. But we decided to renew, rather than negotiate. Fiorentina's staff had a meeting with us, but they did not present an official proposal. It is a normal thing to happen. Will he stay? Yes. Unless we have a good proposal. We are talking to a Spanish club also, but there's nothing official."

Marlon has made 31 first-team appearances for Fluminense to go with his 12 Brazil under-20 caps.  Endi
