Shakespeare's classics become theme of Barcelona shopping night

Xinhua, December 4, 2015 Adjust font size:

Barcelona Shopping Night, a retail experience hosted by a local street, has dedicated this year's theme to the English writer William Shakespeare upon the upcoming 400th anniversary of his death in 2016.

Stores on Passeig de Gracia street are open from 08:00 p.m. local time (1900 GMT) Thursday to 01:00 a.m. Friday in a festive atmosphere.

Passeig de Gracia and its adjacent streets are decorated with items and scenarios which remind people of Shakespeare's works such as Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, Othello or Midsummer Night's Dream.

At the Globe Theater, shows were staged to pay tribute to some of Shakespeare's classics. Enditem
