Cuba and U.S.to hold first kickboxing event

Teams from Cuba and the United States will meet on Friday for their first friendly kickboxing event in Havana.

   Low kick and K-1 rules will apply at the event, confirmed the competition organizers on Thursday. 

   Eric Gutierrez, an official from the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (Inder) said that the event will include 10 fights with three rounds of two minutes per fight under weight categories of 57, 60, 63.5, 67, 71, 81 and 91 kilograms. 

   The president of the World Association of Kickboxing Organizations (WAKO) Charles Post, from the United States, will lead the U.S. team, one of the best in the world. 

   Cuba's coach will be the president of the National School for Kickboxing and Related Arts on the Caribbean island, Armando Quintana, who said that the duel will be "a great show."  Endi
