Trade between Albania and Greece shrunk

Trade between Albania and its traditional trading partner Greece shrunk year-on-year in the first 10 months of this year, local media cited the latest official data on Thursday.

From January to October 2015, Albania's trade exchanges with Greece comprised about 5.9 percent of its total. Greek imports to Albania decreased to 35,643 million ALL(285 million U.S. dollars) from 44,037 million ALL in 2014, Albanian Daily News cited figures released by Albanian Institute of Statistics.

During the period, most of the Greek imports are food, beverages, tobacco, chemical and plastic products, minerals, fuel and electrical energy.

Meanwhile, Albania's exports to Greece increased slightly. Albania's exports to Greece reached 7,758 million ALL in the first 10 months this year, up from 7,418 million ALL in the same period last year. Enditem
