The sale of French vehicles and foreign brands drove France's total car sales up by 11.3 percent in November compared to a month earlier, figures released by the French Car Sales Federation (CCFA) showed Tuesday.
Accounting for more than 55 percent of the domestic auto market, French car makers saw their sales increasing by 11.1 percent.
This was caused in part by boosted sales of PSA, France's leading auto manufacturer, which sold 13.1 percent more new cars (44,139 units) in November compared to the same month in 2014.
Foreign brands showed an upward trend and sold 72,543 new cars to the 66-million-strong French market.
For the whole year of 2015, the CCFA expects the auto market to grow by 5 percent. Endit
