Unknown Militants attack military vehicle in Pakistan, killing two soldiers

Two soldiers were killed when some unknown militants attacked a vehicle of military police in Pakistan's southern port city of Karachi on Tuesday, an army statement said.
Inter-Services Public Relations, the mouthpiece of Pakistani army, said in a statement that the vehicle carrying the two soldiers was passing by M.A. Jinnah road of Karachi, the capital city of the country's south Sindh province, when it came under attack.
Deputy Inspector General Police Jamil Ahmad said that two unknown militants riding a motorbike attacked the military vehicle from behind, killing the two security personnel on the spot and fled the scene.
He said that the soldiers received bullet injuries in the upper part of their bodies and their corpses have been shifted to PNS Shifa hospital.
He said that police has arrested a suspect near the attack site during a search operation.
Eye witnesses said that the militants were covering their faces with veils and they attacked the security personnel with 9mm pistols.
Police said that a car parked near the attack site was also damaged in the blast.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif took notice of the incident, saying that the terrorist elements could not deter the nation's determination of bringing peace to Karachi.
President Mamnoon Hussain condemned the blast and paid tribute to the bravery of the deceased soldiers who lost their lives for the sake of peace and prosperity of the country. Enditem
