Xinhua, November 29, 2015 Adjust font size:

A Bangladesh army soldier had been killed and three others injured in an accidental explosion during a training exercise in the country's Cox's Bazar district, some 292 km southeast of capital Dhaka, on Saturday night, police said.

A Cox's Bazar police official who preferred to be unnamed told Xinhua over mobile phone that "the soldier Ibrahim Khalil was dead on the spot in the accidental blast during the training in Cox's Bazar cantonment on Saturday night at about 8:00 p.m. (local time)."

All the injured soldiers were rushed to hospital, he said.

In a similar accidental blast during a training exercise on Nov. 14 last year, two soldiers of paramilitary Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) were killed and four others injured in the country's Khagrachari district, some 259 km southeast of capital Dhaka. Endit
