Macedonia's industrial production shows 13.1 pct growth y-on-y in Oct.

Macedonia's industry production registered a 13.1 percent growth year-on-year in October and its manufacturing sector up by 18.2 percent, according to figures released by Macedonian Statistical Office Friday.

According to the office, mining and quarrying fell by 6.8 percent, whereas the energy industry, which combines gas, steam and air conditioning, fell by 14.4 percent.

A 5.2 percent increase was reported in the industry for intermediary products, while the production of capital goods and durable goods grew by 27.4 percent and 23.1 percent, respectively.

Overall industrial production in the first nine months of 2015 is 3.6 percent higher than that of the same period in 2014.

Meanwhile, retail prices of industrial products in October in the country declined by 4.4 percent compared to October 2014, and by 0.1 percent compared to September 2015. Enditem
