Tokyo shares end lower by break on profit-taking

Tokyo shares ended the morning session slightly lower on Friday on profit-taking operation due to the lack of trading cues.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average slightly shed 49.53 points, or 0.25 percent, from Thursday to 19,894.88.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was down 6.55 points, or 0.41 percent, to 1,595.77. Endit
