British FTSE 100 increases 0.88 pct on Thursday

FTSE 100 Index, the British benchmark stock market gauge, Thursday increased by 0.88 percent, or 55.49 points, to 6,393.13 points.

Share price of Glencore increased by 5.76 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. Anglo American, Fresnillo, Antofagasta and Standard Life increased by 4.11 percent, 3.89 percent, 3.49 percent and 2.93 percent respectively.

BHP Billiton led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 2.38 percent, followed by National Grid (1.40 percent), Rolls-Royce Holdings (1.24 percent), Land Securities Group (0.89 percent) and Reckitt Benckiser Group (0.58 percent). Endit
