40 FMs to attend OSCE meeting in Belgrade

The meeting of the ministerial council of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) will bring more than 40 foreign ministers to Serbia on Dec. 3 and 4.

More than 1,000 representatives of state delegations will gather for the 22nd OSCE Ministerial Council, said Ivica Dacic, OSCE chairperson and Serbian foreign minister.

He added one of the main topics of this year's meeting will be the fight against terrorism.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, U.S. State Secretary John Kerry, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini, and Secretary General of the Council of Europe Thorbjorn Jagland are expected to attend.

Serbia has allocated 3 million euros (3.18 million U.S. dollars) for the organization of the meeting, while another 500,000 euros was added by the OSCE secretariat, Dacic said.

The meeting will mark the end of the Serbia's chairmanship of the OSCE. Enditem
