Indonesia boosts security at airports

Indonesia has stepped up alert level of security at airport nationwide due to rising terrorist threats, transport ministry senior official said here on Wednesday.

"There is information of threat on security. The rise of aviation security alert is because of Paris terror attack," Director General of Air Transport of Transport Ministry Suprasetyo told reporters at his office.

The ministry has instructed to intensify security patrol at airports involving soldiers and police as well as sniffer dogs as the security alert level has been risen from "green" to "yellow", according to the official.

Indonesia had experienced a series of suicide bombings in last two decades killing dozens of people and causing serious damages. Endit
