Downing of Russian plane shows operations not well coordinated: Slovenian FM

Xinhua, November 25, 2015 Adjust font size:

Slovenian Foreign Minister Karl Erjavec said Turkey shooting down a Russian warplane near the border with Syria showed military operations were not well coordinated.

Erjavec said despite several nations discussing ways to coordinate such operations, "today's event shows that the coordination is still lacking," he was quoted as saying by the Slovenian Press Agency.

The Russian fighter plane was shot down by a Turkish warplane near the border with Syria on Tuesday. While Turkey claims the Russian plane breached its airspace, Russia denies this.

Erjavec said the Foreign Ministry was following the situation to assess what it meant for Slovenia. Enditem
