Urgent: Obama says Turkey has right to defend territory

U.S. President Barack Obama said on Tuesday that Turkey has the right to defend its territory and airspace after a Russian warplane was downed by Turkey, urging measures should be taken to avoid an escalation of tension.

Obama made the comments in a joint press conference with his French counterpart Francois Hollande. Enditem
