Bomb blast kills five, injures 7 in Myanmar's Chin state

A bomb explosion inside a local resident's house in Haka, Myanmar's Chin state, has killed five people, injuring seven others, official sources confirmed Monday.

The bomb blast, which took place on Sunday night at 10:40 p.m. (local time), also destroyed two vehicles and one motorcycle of the house owner.

The five, killed by the bomb, are said to have stayed in the house's ground floor leased from the house owner.

Security has been tightened around the area and investigation into the blast is underway by local authorities.

Chin State Chief Minister U Hone Ngaing inspected the scene, the sources added. Endit
