16+1 mechanism brings wider space for China-CEE cooperation: Slovak economy minister

Xinhua, November 23, 2015 Adjust font size:

Slovak Economy Minister Vazil Hudak has spoken highly of the mechanism of the cooperation between China and the Central and Eastern European countries (CEE), also known as the 16+1 mechanism, saying it will bring wider space for China-CEE cooperation.

"The whole region could be interested in larger infrastructure projects like communication, transport or some energy infrastructure between these countries, meaning gas pipelines," Hudak said in a recent interview with Xinhua.

"It pushes these countries to work together on important and perspective projects," the minister added.

He also mentioned that Slovakia has strong expectations on the upcoming fourth leaders' meeting of China and Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries slated for Nov.24 and 25 in China's eastern city of Suzhou. Endi
