Xinhua, November 21, 2015 Adjust font size:

Chinese Ambassador to Ghana Sun Baohong has advised business circles of both China and Ghana to make use of platforms and pursue shared benefits and win-win cooperation.

She said the Chinese government has rolled out the new trend and policies to boost cooperation in production capacity and equipment manufacturing with major international partners in order to ensure quality and efficiency in economic growth.

Sun was speaking at the China-Ghana economic and trade forum in Kumasi, Ghana's second largest commercial city to climax activities to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

It assembled the business community from both countries to brainstorm on how to form partnerships and grow their businesses.

Sun hopes companies that took part in the forum would seize this opportunity by combining the policy of China and the reality of Ghana and try to find a suitable entry point so as to promote the cooperation quality to a new high.

"We believe only mutual beneficial cooperation can be sustained," she said.

Mayor of Kumasi Kojo Bonsu said the China-Ghana cooperation has a lot to offer in terms of investment opportunities.

The bilateral trade volume between China and Ghana has exceeded 5 billion U.S. dollars with an incredible 26 percent year-on-year growth.

The bilateral trade value is expected to surpass 6 billion dollars and hit an historic high by the end of this year.

The forum was also aimed to attract Chinese investors to Kumasi and other parts of the country. Endit
