At least 10 people were killed and many others injured in a bomb blast in Cameroon's Far North Region on Saturday.

One army source told Xinhua by phone the bomb blast took place in midday in Fotokol, a town in Far North Region neighboring Nigeria. He said the blast was suspected to be carried out by Nigerian Islamic sect Boko Haram, but the exact casualties are not available yet.

Boko Haram was established in 2004. The Islamic sect started to attack Far North Region of Cameroon in 2013. On July 12, suspected Boko Haram militants launched suicide bomb blast in Fotokol, leaving more than 10 people killed.

On Nov. 9, two girls suspected to be members of Boko Haram made suicide bomb attacks in the same town, killing themselves and three civilians. Endit
