U-21 int'l football tournament opens in Vietnams HCM City

South Korea beat Vietnam's Hoang Anh Gia Lai 1-0, and Thailand tied with Singapore 2-2 at the U-21 International Football Tournament which opened here Friday.

   The tournament's Group A comprises Vietnam, Singapore and Thailand, and Group B consists of Vietnams Hoang Anh Gia Lai Arsenal JMG, South Korea and Myanmar.

   Unlike other teams, South Korea sent the U-19 squad, whose members will compete at the U-19 Asian Championship next year. South Korea is still the tournament's favorite.

   The final match will take place on Nov. 29 at Thong Nhat Stadium, with the winner bagging home a cash prize of 12,000 U.S. dollars.  Endi
