Top political advisor hopes for more Pakistan trade

Top Chinese political advisor Yu Zhengsheng called for accelerated construction of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor as he met with Mian Raza Rabbani, chairman of the Pakistani Senate, on Friday.

Yu, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), called on China and Pakistan to strengthen exchanges and cooperation in the economy and trade as well as transportation, infrastructure, anti-terrorism measures and culture.

He lauded the political trust and mutual support between them.

The CPPCC is excited about having more exchanges with Pakistan's parliament on issues concerning economic development, said Yu.

Rabbani said it is the cornerstone of Pakistan's foreign policy to develop friendly ties with China. He expressed hope that the two sides can jointly strengthen their ties. Endi
