Singapore stocks close 0.07 pct lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 1.92 points, or 0.07 percent, to close at 2,917.91.

A total of 998.9 million shares changed hands with turnover of 752.3 million Singapore dollars (533.5 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 227 to 161, while 548 others finished unchanged.

The STI index gained 33.75 points, or 1.17 percent, to close at 2,919.83 on Thursday. Enditem
