Russia's Eastern Military District equipped with modern weapons

Russia's Eastern Military District, headquartered in Russia's city of Khabarovsk, was equipped with more than 850 modern weapons since the beginning of this year, a senior officer said recently.
The Pacific Fleet, headquartered in Vladivostok, has received a strategic submarine named Alexander Nevsky, an anti-aircraft weapon system S-400, multiple rocket launchers, T-72B3 tanks, as well as electronic warfare and unmanned aerial vehicles, Commander of the Eastern Military District Colonel-General Sergey Surovikin said during the meeting of the military council.
He also revealed that the second missile brigade district was rearmed with tactical missile systems "Iskander-M."
"All the servicemen have been re-trained for the modern military equipments," he added.
The district will continue reforming military units with modern military equipments, and retain the same rate of re-equipment for 2016, Surovikin said. Endi
