PARIS -- Suspected mastermind of Paris attacks on Nov. 13 Abdelhamid Abaaoud was "officially identified" among the terrorists killed during a police raid on Wednesday, the office of Paris Prosecutor announced in a statement on Thursday.

SOFIA -- A passenger jet flying from Poland to Egypt has made an emergency landing in Burgas, Bulgaria, after a false alert by a passenger that a bomb was placed on board the aircraft, officials said Thursday.
The authorities found that the report was made by a 67-year-old Polish passenger, the Bulgarian Ministry of Interior said in a statement on its website, adding that based on his information, he had consumed alcohol. (Bulgaria-Bomb Scare)

PUL-E-KHUMRI, Afghanistan -- About nine civilians were wounded in a bomb attack near a police station in Afghanistan's northern province of Baghlan on Thursday, police said.

JERUSALEM -- A knife-wielding Palestinian on a stabbing spree killed two Israeli men and injured another at a chapel on Tel Aviv's seafront on Thursday.
Police identified the suspect as 24-year-old Palestinian from the West Bank Dura, a village in southwest of Hebron. His name was not immediately released, but Channel 2 TV news reported he had no previous record of involvement in acts of terror. (Israel-Palestine) Endi
